3rd Mooseiversary

Me at my foster home looking a tad round but so handsome.
Three years ago today I was hanging out with my 4 foster brothers up in Jupiter Fl at a lovely place with a big grassy yard and a very nice foster mom when this yellow haired lady showed up I had seen her before and all my foster brothers were excited by her arrival but she kept wanting to see me and visit with me. I had met her a few weeks before and same thing, it was all about visiting me.
First ever photo of me after leaving my foster home.
That is my bed squished in the back!
I could tell that she needed me. She did not have any doggie smell on her when she showed up which is just sad so I decided to rescue her from a dogless existence even though it meant leaving my foster home and going who knows where!

So after driving for what seemed like days and stopping at a petsmart to stock up we arrived at this little tiny place. (Can you believe she did not have a proper camera to document all of this?)

Here is the first photo ever of me in this tiny place. I had the bed I had brought with me from the only home I had ever known and a new squeaky toy (that sadly did not last more than 15min).

This place was not as awesome as my foster home but it was all mine so I settled in pretty quick. There was a nice dog park not too far away that helped me not miss my foster brothers too bad.

I got a huge box of toys that helped me stay busy!

This big Moose had like a jillion squeakers in it and it took me awhile to get them all out!

All in all it was not such a bad place and I did get to rescue this lady (my new momma!) so it was worth it!

Moose wondering what Mooseiversary treats are coming
his way...
I am not sure what momma has planned to mark this occasion but I hope it is something good. She has been working and sleeping mostly these days so not sure what she will have time to do. Last year I got a cheeseburger and some doggie oreos... not too bad!

Since momma started blogging for me the day I came home it is also our blogoversary! We are at post 355... who knew I would keep it up this long?

p.s. from momma: Moose's blood work is nothing too worrisome. His bilirubin is slightly elevated and one thyroid number is a bit low but since he has no other signs of hypothyroidism she does not think it is meaningful. He will get weighed again on the 25th and if he has gained weight then she just wants to re-run those two blood tests in 6 mos.

  8. Happy Mooseiversary!! We loved hearing about how you rescued your mom from her dogless condition.
Just think she would have had no hairs on her clothes, no spots of drool and slobber - how awful for her.

  19. Hope you were rewarded handsomely for this Mooseiversary! And many more to come.

It was a kind hearted thing for you to rescue your Momma from non-dogness... very selfless act indeed!

And fantastic toy selection!!!!! I was surprised the squeaker lasted 15 minutes, mine are lucky to last 15 seconds!

    Happy weekend!
