Home alone

Today I had to go out on the water so he spent the day home alone- I had hoped to get him used to being at my place alone more gradually before I had a long day away. He got a walk in the morning and a big rawhide then we went to the dog park (see pic) for an hour when I got home so hopefully I made up for it! He likes splashing in the pool and will even dunk his head in (click for video)!
He is still a little lost here I think. He lays on his bed and has started to lie on a second bed that I have in my office. He will not get up on the furniture though which sounds good to some but I would actually like him to snuggle with me on the couch (though may not be big enough) or at least the bed. I managed to lure him on the couch for some pepperoni and got him halfway on my bed for his stuffed duck but he won't stay up there! I am going to let him get used to things before I really try though since he is still getting used to the place.
He is so far still un named but I have been calling him Boo. I think I am settling toward Scout though- given his size and 'alertness' (when he hears something he puts his front paws on the windowsill and looks outside)it seems appropriate.
