Mister Moose Goes to Miami (& Meets Darwin)

Moose and I went up to Miami on Friday to do some stuff at the lab and of course hang out at the wetlab (RSMAS Bar)! The bar was extra crowded even though I did not go until 8:30 specifically hoping to miss the early crowd and let him get used to the place slowly. Still he did very well except for the occasional leash wrapped around a chair (not his fault though!). He got some scratches and love from people and my lab-mates (Lindsey, Lyza & Ashley) were there which he was all excited about-He really loves them!
Then we went to Ken's place to meet Darwin and Ken. Since "D-man" is one of the most important labbies in my life I wanted them to meet plus I wanted Moose to get familiar with Ken's place in case I needed him to dogsit in the future. Darwin and Moose got along famously- almost too well for Ken's place! Lots of things were knocked over and I had to protect the big screen TV from Moose's tail! It was ok in the end but since Moose more than doubles the dog-load I am thinking that it might not be the best solution for dogsitting when I travel 8-( Maybe once they are used to each other they won't play so hard and they will be a little more "apt. friendly" as a pair! Anyway we had a great time and my ulterior motive for going was to see if Darwin sleeping on the futon with me would give Moose the idea of hoping up on the furniture... and it did 8-) First Darwin got up there with me and being the jealous type he kept trying to keep moose off (I think that just made him want up even more!) but eventually he hopped up and snuggled with me! It was so sweet! He spent at least half the night there which made me happy! I don't have a pic to post with this b/c I was too busy playing and snuggling w/ my boys but trust me it was adorable! 8-)
