Swimover

Sunday afternoon Amanda and her friend Carlos came to visit and they both brought their dogs along for a "swimover". We were too busy having fun for me to think of fetching the camera, but Amanda's dog Jax (pic in chair) was the swimming champ for sure! Carlos's Dog Jackie (rottie pic) had a great time playing with the water but was not thrilled about being in the water. Very unfortunate since she fell in at least 3 times! After all this fun and games and other dogs swimming Moose would still not get in though he really wanted to! I decided that i would finally help him in though and when I did he did not seem to hate it. He swam around a bit and then got out. He did not seem traumatized by it but he did not seem any more inclined to get in on his own.
After the swim we (well, Carlos) cooked up some amazing steaks and sausages on the grill! Inspite of being exhausted, the dogs were very excited by the smells- As you can see from the pic it looks like a pack surrounding its prey! After Jax tried to steal a sausage we put them on the other side of the fence to be safe! Moose had fun playing with them and slept all day today!
