New Moose Mobile

This weekend I bought a new (new to me anyway) car! It is a 2004 Toyota Prius (hybrid). I love it, but Moose, not so much! It is higher off the ground than my old Subaru and when Moose is in the back he is too tall to stand up! He does not need to be standing up anyway so it is just as well that he can't. I also decided that he is safer in the back seat so we have gone back to using the hammock
which keeps him from falling off the seat if I break suddenly. He does not like riding there as much but then again I think he would prefer it to not being able to stand up, or getting hurt! Also my backseat is extra safe now because the Prius has side airbags in the back too!
For those of you who travel with your dog, Progressive insurance will cover up to $500 of vet costs per covered accident. I think they are the only insurance company to do this, and since I happen to already have a policy with them I am delighted that they provide this! $500 does not go far at the vet but considering it does not cost extra it is a nice perk!
