Little Hound

This week Charlie is visiting Moose and I while his mom is in Puerto Rico. He is the smallest dog I have ever watched and it is very funny because he can do things that I am not used to a dog doing, like sit on the back of the couch or walk around under my bed! He is also very snuggly and I think Moose is a little jealous about that. The first night we went to the dog park he caused quite a ruckus! He was greated by about 5 or 6 of the local dogs who are always a little extra excited when a new dog shows up. So one of the owners helped me by getting them away from the gate so we could get in, but still for the first 10 min or so there were skirmishes and charlie barked and showed teeth which I had never seen him do. We almost left but he was wagging his tail too so we stuck it out and in the end everyone was fine. Now when we go back everyone is excited to see him, he is quite a hit with the people and dogs.

  2. Hey Moose & Charlie! Moose, thanks for the info about Canidae food. Not sure if we'll be eating that some day or not but will give it a try one day. I think Charlie just needed some warm up that's all. Usually, if you just let the dogs settle by themselves without any help from their hoomans, everything will be fine.

  3. Hehe! Beagles! When I was fostering Joker the beagle (for whom my blog is named!), he could do all those little dog funny things. They're funny little guys though!

  5. Well, hello, Moose!!

We were scolling through the newcomers to the DWB and saw you were not only the newest, but from Florida, so we decided to come say hello. It turns out we're almost neighbors -- at least compared to the UK or Canada or Australia. We live in Plantation, just west of Fort Lauderdale. So that's neighbors, right?

We should know better, but we didn't realize that coral spawn until we read one of your older posts. We do know how important coral is to our ecosystem though.(Our Mom is a seaport planner, so preserving the reefs is always a serious consideration when thinking about maritime operations.)

Anyway, come say hello when you have a moment.

We're Jake and Just Harry, aka the Barkalot Boyz.
