Today we practiced a new skill: getting him to present his beak when it is time to put on the gentle leader. We have been using it without problem since this spring however, since he has been in recovery he will try to keep me from putting it on. I think he is indignant about using it when we are only going for a 2 minute stroll in the back yard but it is more important than ever that he does not pull! Aside from that we are also working on the 'Quiet' command. He is not a big barker but when he gets frustrated at being in his pen he protests pretty loudly. He is learning fast as usual!

I love those photos! Glad you are finding ways to entertain Moose. Parker is looking for things to do too. I will try to get some photos of him today while he's on his back it is quite priceless to see : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a time you've been having!! We were thinking about Moose on Saturday, when we were talking about Florida DWBers with someone; so it was strange to see your comment this morning. Strange, but welcome!!
ReplyDeleteWe hope Moose recovers quickly and that you and he have more snuffling opportunities.
As for what's on the mat: The Dog, Day 751. My captors continue to torment me with bizarre rubber squeak toys. They eat lavish meals in my presence while I am forced to subsist on dry cereal. The only thing that keep me going is the hope of eventual escape, that and the satisfaction of occasionally ruining some piece of furniture. I fear I may be going insane...
Of course, we, Jake and Just Harry, don't feel that way!! Hah!!!
Awww, poor Moose! Willow is a great protester!! She and Moose would make quite a pair with their vocalizing their discontent, I'm sure!
