There are tons of silver fish in the sea and although I am a marine biologist I know very little about them! Sometimes you come across a 'baitball' which is a giant swarm of silvery fish that I call 'lotta little fish'! It is mesmerizing to watch and hard to really capture in a still picture. This was taken on Horseshoe Reef right off of Key Largo where I live. (if you click on the pic you will be able to see the silver a little better!)
I swim around with a camera constantly but never take pictures of silvery fish unless there is something unusual about them. Notice this one is missing a tail! I saw this at Molasses Reef also right here off Key Largo!Aside from the sea life There is Moose's silver collar (at least it was silver back when it was new!)
The back sides of my lab key chain and 'inedible apple' phone.
A pretty pretty antique ring from somewhere in my family (actually it is white gold) but it passes for silver! And of course the MooseMobile!
This Meme is hosted by Blue and coincidentally (or not?) next week's color will be blue! I know I said silver was my favorite color but it is really a tie with Blue! There is lots of blue in the sea, so stay tuned to see what I might find!

Dana, I absolutely LOVE that underwater photo of the huge school of silver fish! One of my passions is photography and I can imagine all the beautiful things you see beneath the ocean. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat silver photos, especially of the fishies! That's one we don't see every day!

Great job with those silvery things! My Owner Girl's favorite color is blue so I think we will find a lot for next week!

H-Mom was always afraid to swim through the "baitballs" because she thinks they attract HUNGRY BIGGER FISH and she is not terribly aquatic. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteHi Moose! Great job finding silver things - I never saw a fish without a tail! I've noticed that even though you're a dark-colored doggie, your photographer has taken lots of pictures of you that show your big brown eyes and noble expressions. We're having a tough time taking good pictures of Zeke, so in my latest post I'm asking for tips on furtography. If you've got any (or even if you don't), c'mon over and visit!
ReplyDeleteSee ya!
