Mango & Dexter Visit the Mooselodge (Part 2)

If you missed yesterday's post, Mango & Dexter are visiting and Pee Wee was trying to decide what fun he wanted to have for his belated birthday.
On the way into Key Largo Dexter noticed this sign that said 'Key Largo Dive Capital of the World' wanted to go scuba diving. Momma told him that it was not true and that it was way too cold for us south Floridians to go diving but Pee Wee would not let it go. Since his DOH totally dropped the ball on his 2nd birthday I figured the least we could do was humor him.

So I agreed to take the three of us out to the reef to go diving. This is not at all the sort of thing the Mango likes to do and there was no way I was going since it is totally freezing here. I still have my summer coat on after all! But you always have to have a buddy when you dive so I tricked mango into thinking he was just going to use the boat for meditations. Hee hee. He is very easy to trick!

When we got out there he still was not interested but Pee wee and I told him that Bully sticks grow in the ocean and he could have all he wanted... that was all it took.

Of course, Mango being Mango.... let out one relentlessly huge fart!

I was resting on the boat when holy cow!!

After that I figured we had better high tail it back to the Moose Lodge before we got into trouble for discharging toxic substances into the ocean.

So when we got back to the Moose Lodge I wanted to show Mango some of my intellectual stimulations games but he was not into it at all.

Instead all he wanted to do was his boring meditations. Unfortunately the accommodations were not to his liking.

While he was meditating Dexter and I took a little nap of our own when I was startled awake by some crazed wookie sounds!

I went in the other room and Mango, obviously bored of meditations had ransacked my toy box!

So Momma insisted we all clean up and I tried to show them my 'pick up your toys' trick. I was not trying to show off or anything but I showed them how I can pick up TWO toys up and put them away at the same time.  I don't think they were impressed in the least though.

Mango was really getting really worried about neglecting his Mango Minster 2010 duties so decided it was time to wrap up this trip.

Mango refused to endure another long ride in the 'Mouse' mobile though so he summoned the jet to come get him and Dexter so the plane had to land out on US1.
It was a very short visit. I don't think Mango had much fun but maybe Dexter will come back.

  1. MOOSE! What an amazing adventure! Why is Momma laughing so much at my most disturbing trip under the sea? I could have totally drowned!

How can you live in that small space and why do you crowd all your toys together like that.

PeeWee seems to think that you are just totally cool, but I say one labradork is too many.

Anyway, thanks for the hospitality. The food was good and I like your mom's lovey voice.

    Slobbers,
    Mango

  7. Wow, Moose, you really tried hard to give Dexter a nice birthday. That's really sweet, but I don't feel that you gave Mango the respect he deserves... especially since he is hosting us at his estate. I guess, though that we can trust that Mango is to much of a gentledog to try any tricks on you like SOME dogs might.

I just hope you and Dexter behave yourselves now that you two are such buddies! OC

  9. Perhaps you & Dexter were separated at birth! That picture of you two on the couch - very convincing argument there. I bet RH sank like a rock in the ocean - goo thing he had his gaseousness to create a little buoyancy!! How nice of you to host those two - glad the Lodge is still standing!!
