Bella finally went home yesterday! I thought she would never leave. I tried to get momma to get some video of her pushing me out of the way which she did every time I came anywhere near but that did not happen so you will have to take my word for it. Sure she was cute and momma fawned over her sweet face all the time but no bones about it she was one pushy bitch! Momma says I can say that word because it just means a lady doggie so it is not an HBO word!
When momma came home alone I could see she was a little sad about it though so I snuggled all over her like crazy just so she would not feel bad. I mean as annoying as Bella was she really took over the job of making momma feel loved which is a lot of work for an independent guy like me.
Bella came to the Moose lodge with nothing so you would think she would leave with nothing right? Wrong! Momma wanted her to have something familiar in her new home so she sent along a blankie that had soaked up some eau de moose lodge and one of MY Kongs! I don't think Bella even knew what a Kong was when she came here but since everydoggie knows they are the best toys ever even Bella (who never played with toys) liked the Kongs!
So Momma got me a new Kong. But check it out... it is Blue! What's up with that? I have seen Red Kongs, Black Kongs, Puppy kongs that are pink and baby blue but never dark blue! Momma tried to tell me it was a special edition but I think she is just cheap and got it on sale!
Whatever! I got it stuffed with chicken and carrots for Sunday brunch this morning.
Then back to my job snuggling with momma on a lazy Sunday!
It's nice work if you can get it!
Note from Momma: Bella was adopted by a 65yo widow with a lovely home in Miami and I got a call from her last night that Bella only went to the door a few times after I left but otherwise settled right in and took a nice nap in her bed with her and has just been an absolute angel and she is totally in love with her already and could not have hoped for a better companion right off the bat. I don't understand how such a perfect dog would find herself ready to be euthanized at animal control but I know she is only one of so many 'perfect' doggies who find themselves in that situation every day. I will be fostering again in a month or so and hope I am lucky enough to get another delightful dog like Bella but Moose is hoping it will be another TeddyNo type who he can go wild with... maybe something in the middle would be best!

Another happy ending!! :)
ReplyDeleteGood job Mom, fostering Bella until she found her furever home.
ReplyDeleteOur Mom fostered Buddy, but he never left...what's that all about?
Mom is a fostering failure!

Bella looks adorable, we wish her well in her new home.
ReplyDeleteWe know how it is with house guests!
We don't have a Kong at all - we have lots of toys - the only thing that ever causes friction between us is occasionally food!
For this reason our mum has avoided toys that you put food in!
They do look like fun though.

WooHoo fur Bella!

Yea Moose mom and Moose! Im sure Bella will settle in nicely into her new home!
ReplyDeleteDarwin doesn't have a kong anymore. she had a pink puppy one, but she's a bit too big for that one so we donated it.
Congrats on a job well done with Bella - we are happy she found such a good home.
ReplyDeleteWe have a blue kong too, but ours has a bunch of knobby bumps on it - must have been a reject on sale too:)
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Bella is ever grateful to you both. even you Moose, she was really only playing hard to get...didn't want to get too close to you, cause she knew she would be leaving! I LOVE your blue kong, it's very fashionable. Mine is black.
ReplyDeleteWoooos Moose! At least that one is gone, mine got stuck here and stayed.... good job to woo Mom fur finding her furever home!

Moose! You cannot trust those sneaky blonds. Go for a TeddyNo next time. Better for the Moose and you are what is most important after all.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
P.S. Momma said, oh, Bella was adopted by a nice little old lady and then she did the math and realized yuh that will be HER in a few years. Yikes.
Ahh Moose, you'll be glad that the bossy britches has left Moose Lodge!
ReplyDeleteBut very cool she has gone to a great home!
My kong was red, but I lost it and I think its buried in one of the very few little holes I dug in my younger years!
Happy Konging
Koda
Good Luck to Bella!

I'm glad you didn't fall for that special edition spin...
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could make things really interesting and try fostering a cat!
Ok, forget I said that, it's late. ;)
Great ending for Bella...with an awesome new life ahead of her!
ReplyDeleteIvy has a red Kong.....she is the Kong Queen!!
Wow - that was one fast foster turn-around! You must have just gotten used to Bella, and now she's gone (and WITH one of your Kongs to boot!). That sounds like one perfect Sunday you had! OK, we've been wondering & have to ask - is that collar you are wearing from Fido's Fashion collars?? Mom thinks she recognizes both the material & the label!

I just love happy endings!!Glad Bella found her furrever home!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!
Dory
What a happy ending!
ReplyDeleteGood news for Bella! She seemed like such a sweetheart and now she's got her very own person and doesn't have to share with you, Moose. You were very good to share your Momma with her for a while!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful to hear that Bella has found her forever home - and it sounds like she's going to be very happy!
ReplyDeleteWow, Moose - that looks like the most delicious Kong filling! I must get my human to try it for me sometime. Actually, I have to confess, I'm probably one of the few doggies who are not that into Kongs! And my humans made the mistake of buying me the giant black one (coz they thought Great Dane = power chewer) but I have a really soft mouth so I don't like any toy that's too hard or big or heavy or hard to pick up (OK, I'm a bit of a wimp) - and so I just don't like my Kong that much! Maybe my human should get me a smaller/softer Kong - she saw a "senior Kong" recently - that might be good for me! :-)
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
We are so happy that Bella found a great home and will be loved!
ReplyDeleteMoose... Blue is a BOY color, so you should be very happy that your new Kong is blue! Grammy got us one of those, but it has completely disappeared and no one can find it ANYWHERE! The CCC
