Can you believe I have only gotten two posts in the last month! I am neglected I tell you. Momma has been glued to the 'puter lately so you think she could take two minutes to visit my pals or post all of my exciting news but no! It is all work work work while she is on there. On the other hand, sitting around watching momma tap tap tap on the computer does not give me much to blog about. There has been a lot of this:
and sometimes this: Boring!
One kind of exciting thing is I got a new bed for outside! I have had a perfectly nice bed for ages but sometimes I would find that it was too wide and not long enough to fit my long and lanky self. Weird because sometimes I fit just fine... Momma says I have 'spatial planning issues' but I can't help it if my bed keeps changing shape!
Anyway... this bed was fine with me, it was a great place to sit back and enjoy a nice meaty bone or fresh pig ear. But apparently getting meat all over my bed was really grossing momma out. Apparently she wants to be able to wash things that get all meaty even though I assure her I never leave any thing behind. Hmph!
So then she gets me one of these kind of beds:
It is a Kuranda Bed! She says I look so handsome on it (duh, I am handsome everywhere!).
AND she likes it because she can just hose it off after I have taken some delicious pig parts back to it for a truly relaxed dining experience.
Ages ago, before I knew most of you I had a similar bed called a 'Coolaroo' bed. She thought it was a great way to keep me off the gravel and I thought it was great to lie next to. It felt all shakey and slippery to me so it was kind of scary and I never used it. Then when my old pal TeddyNo was here he loved that bed and used it like a trampoline (he was a bouncy boy!).
TeddyNo convinced me it was not scary and I would occasionally lie on it until he turned it into a pile of twisted metal and shredded fabric! (Momma says this is not all his fault because it was old and not put together very well by her.) So then I had no bed until momma got me the soft, really good at soaking up meat juices one! And now a not so shakey version of the Coolaroo bed.
I like it well enough but it is a little slippery still and I find that it changes shape too! I think beds should be the same size all the time, momma said this is called 'round' or 'square' so I think it is bed makers who have spatial planning issues. It is easy to clean though!

Hey there MOOOOOOOOSE!! Glad to see you again. You have been MISSED.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you and your mom every time there was something on the TV about that BeePee stuffs that was in the water and on the beaches. Glad that is pretty much over now.
Hey.. my bed does that weird thingy about not fitting me sometimes too. I think that Squirrels get in it and pull it out of shape or something.
Hi Moose! A new bed thing...awesome. It looks like it would be fun to bounce on! I hope it holds your large frame this time! Yumm....the pig stuff sure looks good. M.O.M. bought me one of those pig ears but it was a dried one and she just couldn't stand the way it made me smell, so no more of those yumnmy things!!
ReplyDeleteHugs and wags, Mistaya
Awhh, we missed you over here! Im glad you like your new bed, that old one looked confusing! :)
ReplyDeleteGood to see you, Moose. Nice bed. Maybe if you just smear some mud and dirt on it, the slipperyness will all go away:)
ReplyDeleteWoos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
They use the Kuranda beds at the SPCA...awesome.
ReplyDeleteHey Moose nice to see ya. Cool bed. What a great place to relax and chew chew chew.
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Woof! Woof! Good to hear from you...missed you.Yes its about time for you to get a new outdoor bed. I do own one too (not the same brand but very similar). Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteOh I like your new bed. I got a new bed too, but I'm not allowed to eat it.
ReplyDeleteMoose, dude! Great to see you again. You eat in bed? That is living! Wow! I don't know about the trampoline bed, though, looks a bit unstable for a full sized doggie, but you labradogs are kind of little monkeys that can climb on to all sorts of things.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
P.S. Hope your leggie is all better.
Hi Moose, Cool bed. Mommy says I might not destroy that one. I kinda like to destuff my beds, so Mommy takes them away from me and gives them to the cats. ~Fenris
ReplyDeleteI still think woo are Kurnada Model Material!

Moose, you're right you look good on anyhing, anywhere!
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea for RMBs! i use a bath towel right now and try to get 2 uses out of it then toss it in the wash on hot water. I used to use old "orvis" blankets but they were thick so i used old towels there too. i just place the towels on top of their beds. but they are not THAT juicy so it's ok. if it was really juicy, i'd feed them outside!
ReplyDeletegood thing you have your momma to figure out how to keep the juices from escaping the jaws of moooses!
Hey Labra-Pal,
ReplyDeleteWe've missed you!
Love the new bed...
Oh Moose - I'm really sad that you're around in Blogland much anymore - I really miss you!! :-(
ReplyDeleteHey - I love your new bed! It's even got your name on it - how cool! I know what you mean about scary unstable beds - even though some beds are a similar "trampoline style"- some are just too flimsy to hold giant breed doggies. Pah! But your new one looks brilliant!
Slobbers,
