Drinking Problem

My new foster brother has a drinking problem! I won't even discuss how he came home all stumbling drunk with a lampshade on his head on Friday night and passed out cold (but for the record he did). I also won't mention that he sometimes drinks so much he barfs (but for the record he does).
But look at this latest evidence that he is a totally sloppy drinker! You can tell by the look on his face that he is totally buzzed too and does not even know he should be doing an "I didn't do it" look.

I tried to show him how to pull off this look while making a hasty retreat (of course always grab a Kong since you never know how long you will be in hiding) but I don't think he got it!

I guess that is a little better, buddy! Still it is better to get some distance and look a little scared so momma will feel bad for you... Boy does he have a lot to learn!

Sham-Wow was momma mad though! She says now there will be a clean spot on the rug and the floor so she will have to clean the rest of it or it will look funny!!

  5. Your foster brother has a lot to learn, but I know in my heart that you can teach him everything he needs to survive in his future forever home. Tell your mom thanks for opening her home to these precious dogs,

  10. I really don't see the problem. The floor around my water bowl looks like that all the time. Hope the whiz kid feels better soon.

Don't you just love those stylish new lampshades?

  14. Loki was a sloppy drinker but with time it became a lot better. i think it does eventually subside. when anxiety level goes down, they drink slower and more neatly.

hope he's off the wagon real soon and now lampshades on his head!

  15. He looks handsome even with that lampshade thing! So nice of you to take care of him & put up with his drinking habits. We are sure he will improve with your help. Also, hope he finds a wonderful new home with the right people for him.

  16. Poor Willie! Sounds like he's not only still affected by the anesthesia, but it maybe made him a little nauseous. Hope he's feeling better by now. Jed can attest that learning to drink while wearing a Cone is a difficult skill to master, although it can be done with practice. Just be nice to him, Moose. This is probably his first fun Christmas, even despite the tutoring.

  17. Gosh, what a mess!! Maybe he should be joining Labaholics Anonymous - hee! hee! :-)

Um, are you sure it was all an accident? I mean, I've heard about your Labs and how you're always trying to get into ANY pool of water, no matter how small! :-)

  18. Heehee. Mom has that same problem - if she cleans up one spot on the floor, then she's got to clean the rest of the floor because she suddenly knows how dirty the floor is! Heehee. At least foster brother knows how to party! ;-)
