Happy Moose-iversary

One year ago today I brought home my Moose. Hard to believe we have been together for a year already! We have both learned a lot this year and I am so glad I found such a great dog. Lab Rescue of Florida with their awesome foster homes (all volunteer) made it possible. If you are looking for a pure bred please remember to checkout your local breed rescue, especially if it is a popular breed like Labs! LRRoF has nearly 100 dogs in foster homes on any given day and finds a new home for more than 1 dog per day (on average).

I leave tomorrow morning for a week but Moose will have Swissie and Jetta to play with so I think that should keep him entertained. He met them for the first time this morning and so far they seem to get along great. Jetta (a black lab) is pretty laid back and so far mostly hanging out by the door wondering when her mom Kristie will come back. Swissie is more outgoing and has not spent more than a few seconds without a toy in her mouth. She and Moose seem to be sorting out who is in charge. I think Swissie will come out on top but they seem to be playing nicely so far. They were left alone for a few hours this morning and there were no signs of trouble. When I returned they were all beside themselves to see me and seem to be worn out. The pic shows the trio waiting for a treat (well actually they already had one and they are hoping for a second)!
