I discovered a few weeks ago that my moose loves
carrots AND that they are awesome Kong stuffers! I started by giving him baby carrots and using a couple of those to stop up the hole in the Kong but then it occurred to me that a regular carrot can be shoved into a Kong so the pointy end comes through the smaller hole making it even harder to get the other goodies
inside! Since I give him a Kong everytime I leave him, it makes the stuffing process faster, cheaper and healthier! He also has a 'Goodie Ship' which is a spaceship thing made by Kong (nowhere near as good as original Kong) that has
always been way too easy for him, but now I dip a baby carrot in cream cheese and shove it into each of the 3 holes and it takes him the better part of an hour to get them out! A busy dog is a good dog!

ReplyDeleteWe lovecarrots too, and we love our Kong -- so maybe our Mom will learn something and combine thetwo -- and maybe she'll dip the ends in peanut butter -- yum.
