I always thought it would be Moose who ate us out of house and home but at present it is TERMITES! We found them last week and had to vacate the premises this AM so they could hold their little termite circus. At least that is what I assume is going on in there....
Moose watched nervously as I packed bags and loaded the car. He does not like any thing to do with bags leaving the moose lodge!
While we are homeless we are staying at my boss's Key Largo place less than a mile away which is convenient because I could not go up to Miami to stay with friends or anything since I am currently serving Jury Duty. There are 2 issues however, first off I forgot Moose's bed and obviously i can not go back to get it so he is roughing it on a throw rug the poor guy! And 2nd is that I couldn't leave him alone in their house today on account of the tons of food that we had sitting around in grocery bags and I have no doubts that he would have eaten it ALL so I left him out in the screened in (and completely closed in) porch today. Don't worry though, we are having beautiful South Florida weather so it is quite comfortable and shaded. I don't think he minded but he does seem a little distressed in general... he is drooling a lot. Tonight I may put all of the food in one of the bedrooms and close the door so tomorrow he can stay inside though honestly I am not sure which he prefers. He definitely loves the porch and has been out there since I got home.
Oh no Southernmost Moose, you had to vacate .... too bad we don't live closer to one another, as I see something going on with packing at my house too. They keep telling me something about "spring break at the sports club" - what the heck does that mean?? Well I wish you well in your temporary hangout.
ReplyDeletePoor Moose, you look a little worried on that throw rug. Our house got tented several years ago, and so have most of the houses around here. South Florida is one big termite circus! But don't worry, you'll be home soon.

Poor Moose! You had to move out just for those little bugs to have a circus?! They'd better leave your bed alone.
ReplyDeleteWe had to do the stupid circus tent thing around here to. Mom and Dad weren't very happy about it, either, but it's all better now.
By the way, you ARE a big moose!! You look like a lab(except for the bump)but maybe you have the benefit of dane in your family :) Seems like if you mixed a dane and a lab you would calm the lab down :) The AKC doesn't actually check up on the litters unless someone complains. If you did a DNA test and it was not right, maybe you should complain. Otherwise, be happy you live up to your name :)
