These little fish are Blue Chromis hanging out with us on Molasses Reef today with their cousins the Brown Chromis!
This is a juvenile yellow tail damselfish with electric cobalt blue spots. Those spots are even brighter in person! They don't get their yellow tail until they are adults but they lose most of their spots by then! Since they love to hang out on my beloved elkhorn coral you would think I would have good pics of them but they are shy and always darting off to hide.
My dive buddy has cobalt colored fins
and the lettering and fender on our boat are cobalt colored.
Moose's inflatable e-collar that we used after his knee surgery is cobalt.
And... a special guest appearance from TeddyNo who had cobalt stripes on his collar. No, he is not back, this is an older pic of him 'helping' me with yard work! I have not gotten any updates but he is still with his new family so hopefully all is well!
Next Week's Color is Purple which should be an easy reef color to find! See you then!
Are you kidding me with these gorgeous pictures! I could sure use a trip like this! Why are you so lucky!?

I hope Jack never needs an inflatable collar. He would chew through it in about 10 seconds.
ReplyDeleteAnd the fish pictures are wonderful... but not as wonderful as TeddyNo.
Hi Moose! Teddy's photo is so cooool! I agree with Jack: that e-collar would not last 5 min with Rufus! That's why Moose is such a sweet doggie to us!!!

Aww, I sorta miss the Palmata-- there was that one screw wasn't completely in the railing and tore my biking bottoms every time I slid into the water.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful cobalt things you found! Those fish are so pretty and fascinating! That e-collar almost looks like some kind of pillow! Although Moose doesn't look too happy to be wearing it! Have a great weekend!

The return of TeddyNo! I like the fishes better than the e-collar and I'm sure you agree. We love the water pictures!
