Yet another contraption

Momma is always getting weird contraptions around here but this latest one is messing with my water supply. Not cool. See, my last trip to the vet revealed some slightly wonky numbers from the many fluids they stole from me and the vet said that I probably need to drink more water.

I used to have this way cool fountain outside that I would drink from and I loved it until the vicious neighbor dog 'Snow White' nearly attacked and killed me while I was drinking from it (note from momma: Snow White was a 7mo old puppy who barked at Moose who then decided she was terrifying! See here for details).
Anyway, since I love running water Momma decided to try an indoor fountain for me. I find this contraption to smell, sound and look totally suspicious. Since my other water is gone I am forced to drink from it though (and yes, I checked the toilets.. they are all closed!). Maybe I will go on a water strike until I get my other water back...

  1. That does not look safe. I believe that your little snooter will get drawn into the whirlpool and you will drown. Please insist that mom drink out of it first to demonstrate. I am not a fan of anything new either.

  3. I love your fountain thingy. I have one something like that. It used to be my mom's decorative fountain, butt now it's MINE. I love to drink out of it.
Sneak up on your fountain a few times and be SURE it is safe.

  4. That does look a little scary - you were very brave!
We expect it will be less scary in a little while.

  5. Mr. Bufus the cat had one of those, mostly because he liked to play in running water (don't ask me why.... he was really more of a ManBearCatDogPig than a real cat...), but I never saw the appeal. I don't blame you for being mighty suspicious!

  6. Wow! Your own personal water fountain - you are so lucky. We just have plain water dishes. We think it will "grow on you" & you will start liking it. Maybe your Mom could put some flavoring in it...something your really like..

  14. Oh Moose! I thought only CATS drank from those things! Hee! Hee!

Actually, my trainer back in Auckland had one of those at his training school - he said it helped to keep the water fresh, especially with so many doggies coming and going - everyone seemed to really like it although I have to say I found it a bit weird - am used to drinking from a bowl...and I drink like a camel! Once I start, I don't stop for 10mins! :-)

  16. The kitties use to have one of those but it was much smaller. I think that is an pawesome water bowl. However, once I start drinking runnin water I don't want to stop. That may cause a problem.

  21. How neat - mom was just talking about getting one of those for us! LOTS of water getting consumed around here, and she gets tired of filling the bowl (it's big) a few times a day. But doesn't that tinkling sound make you need to, you know, tinkle???

  22. The two of you are so cute in the video! My Mom needs to get me one of those too. Sometimes she's slow on the draw when it comes to refilling my bowl, and I like drinking out of the hose, so this would be a win-win.

  23. I must get one of those fountains - brilliant invention...

  24. We can't help - we just get a bucket. Seems like fresh water is not a challenge since we drink all of the bucket about twice a day.
