Look who came back to the Mooselodge yesterday! It is feebee! I'm not sure where she disappeared to but she mast have been at tugging school because when she got here we played an awesome round of tug with my giant sheeps which has since gone to the intensive care ward (paws crossed for a speedy recovery sheeps!).
Wow! She never played with me like that before so she must have graduated from tugging school at the top of her class! On the other hand she came with a basket load of stuff, her bed, bowls, leashes, toys, shampoos, kibbles, snacks and more so maybe she was out shopping for the last month!
While all her stuff was being carted into the Moose lodge we were busy having loads of fun but then her ride left without her! She was so upset that it made me kinda sad for the little girl! She ran around pretty frantically for awhile checking all the doors and windows to see if her ride realized she got left behind and came back for her. No such luck!
Now momma made me promise not to tell feebee but her family is not coming back for her. They said they ran out of money already and that she has to find another place to stay. Since they had enough money 25 days ago I guess that feebee must have ate a big wallet full of cash while she was there. She does not seem like the type to do that so it is pretty hard for me to understand but how else can you explain being able to afford something one day then realizing that you can't three weeks later. We are very sad for poor pheebs but glad they brought her back to us at least!
Whatever happened she is back here and in the market for a new family. I was not crazy about her before since she was kinda boring but she likes to play more now so guess it could be fun having her here. She agreed to share some of her snacks and not to pee on my bed again so that is cool!
You know how your people are always leaving and they can't understand why you are so upset about it since they are coming right back? You know how they don't get why we are so worried when we see bags being packed... Well this is why, people! My ride left me and all my stuff behind once. Sure I ended up in an ok place but moving sucks! You always lose stuff. I felt so bad for poor feebee but I also can't help but worry, what if it happens to me again? Momma said she would never leave me but I bet feebee's people told her that too. On the other hand momma says she would die without me and I have to say I think that is true so hopefully I am safe.
But really... who could leave a face like this behind?

Well Moose there is no accounting fur some peeps. MOST of them are fine... BUTT....
ReplyDeleteAt lease she is back and SAFE... plus she actually wanted to PLAY with you.. those are gooooood thingys, RIGHT???
Well, this just breaks my heart, but I'm so thankful she came back to YOU!

I just can't imagine driving off and leaving someone behind...
ReplyDeletePoor Feebee. I bet you will cheer her up and I sure the right people will come along for her soon.
ReplyDeletePoor Phoebe! Im kind of annoyed at that family. I mean at least they returned her to you, but unless the whole family got laid off and they didnt have anything saved, that seems like a really lame excuse.
ReplyDeleteAt least she has you to entertain her while her REAL forever family searches for her.
Moose, you're totally safe and that's fur sure! And if your mom has her way, Feebee will be totally safe next time too!!
ReplyDelete- Charlie
Moose! Your mom will NEVER leave. She will always come back, you can count on it. I'm glad feebee learned how to be a little more social. Maybe you will grow to actually enjoy her company.

Well, since we were all left behind at least once during our lives, we also know that when you finally do find your forever home - it is AWESOME. We are betting Feebee has the perfect home out there that just has not figured it out yet.
ReplyDeletePeople make me so angry!!!!! My Spike was once left behind by his family, but at a horrible shelter where he had to sleep on hard cement floors and he couldn't get enough exercise or attention. I swore when I brought him home, I would always come back for him, no matter what. Moose, that's what your people say too- they are always coming back for you!! It's what all dogs deserve.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping Feebee finds the right family who can promise her to always come back for her too!
Jen and the Black Dog Crew
This is so sad! My heart is broken for poor Phoebe! She will find better people <3
ReplyDeleteWow, Moose, get a little behind in blog reading and look what happens! We're so sorry to read about the fire; we hope the guy was able to find a place quickly for himself and all the dogs. We're so sorry for the pup that didn't survive. It's a timely reminder for mama to get on the stick and check with our local fire station to be sure they have pet oxygen masks.
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry poor Phoebe has been traumatized by this latest act of betrayal, but it frankly sounds like that family was not worthy of her. We're glad she had someone familiar like you to come back to. And it sounds like they were at least nice to her, as she had all that stuff and is so much more playful than before. We're sure next time your mom will screen any prospective family like they were being nominated for the Supreme Court. Mama would want references going back to their first grade teachers. Meantime, enjoy your live-in play mate.
