Coming soon... Grass for roaching!

When I bought the Moose Lodge it had been sitting empty for almost 9 months and in that time the all of the grass had died so Moose had no where to roach other than the pea gravel in the back yard 8-(. He really missed our old yard that had both grass AND coconuts! So two weeks ago I spent an entire day prepping and seeding the giant patch of dirt that is my front lawn and announced to Moose that he would be roaching away in no time! Frankly though, I did not believe it but I still faithfully watered the dirt every day (pretty sure the neighbors think I am crazy!).




This morning while out watering, look what I found! Baby grass! It is maybe 1/4 of an inch but we could not be more excited!
We also might have a big surprise coming later today or tomorrow. I hate to compete with Randi's special Randay Surprise and don't want to give anything away but ours also involves meeting new doggies! You will have to check back with us later. It will be a lot more exciting than watching the grass grow... promise!
